In this recurring segment, and sometimes full episodes or even theme months, the Doughboys take a deep dive into one specific film. After a few months of declaring love for Da Finchman, for Junek 2023, they devote the Doubles to different films directed by David Fincher. Junek is the natural extension of Maynk.
For this episode, they look at Fincher's 2007 film, Zodiac.
During Maynk, they rate the movie on a scale of 0-10 inches of Affleck Hog.
This is Nick (and Casey's) favorite Finchman movie, so Nick gives it an extra 2 inches.

After the episode, Wiger adds his own solo segment diving even deeper into Zodiac.
He talks about the book the film is based on, how Fincher developed the film from the book, and some of the other stories behind the Zodiac lore. He also discusses whether the film is a 'copaganda' film or not and gets into some notes about the cinematography and editing.
As said, Nick thinks this is the best Fincher movie, and also the best movie of 2007 (over such movies like There Will Be Blood and No Country For Old Men). It is clearly one of his very favorite movies.
