"Zingin' and Jinglin' with Michael Cassady" is Episode 16 of the premium-content podcast, Doughboys Double, hosted by Mike Mitchell and Nick Wiger. "Zingin' and Jinglin' with Michael Cassady" was released on June 19, 2017.

Synopsis[]

Actor and Doughboys composer Michael Daniel Cassady (Drunk History, Netflix's Love) joins the 'boys to review the new KFC Zinger and take a trip down memory lane with some fast food jingles. Plus, a baby food taste test for an expectant father.

Zingin'[]

The Doughboys try the KFC Zinger, an old KFC classic that had made a recent return to its menu. It is KFC's version of a spicy chicken sandwich.

They rate the sandwich on a scale of Zinger, Zanger, or Flinger.

Jinglin'[]

In this segment, the Doughboys discuss some commercial jingles, as Cassady is the composer of the various Doughboys theme songs. They mostly focus on McDonald's jingles ("Mac Tonight", "I'm Lovin' It," etc.), but also note Wendy's lack of jingles, Chili's, Subway, and the "Hot Drink Song" from a Wendy's training video (which Nick considers a "fucking jam").

Baby Food 👨‍🍼[]

Cassady's wife is expecting a baby so Mitch came up with the idea of sampling baby food. They all put on baby bonnets and try the three meat flavors by Gerber: Turkey and Gravy, Ham and Gravy, and Beef and Gravy. They follow those with Hawaiian Delight, Peas, and Prunes.

They rate these on a scale of GaGaGood or BaBaBad. Everyone seemed to vote Prunes and Hawaiian Delight as GaGaGood, and were thoroughly disgusted by all the others.

Nick was appalled by the whole segment, but Mitch seemed to be having fun.

I liked the world when the Burger Wars were raging.

Do you know the 'Where's The Beef?' lady? She's actually still alive! And also, she's young.

–A weird fact Mike Mitchell knows

Michael: This is like skating rink music.

Nick: Right. This is 'painting the youth center' montage music. Putting up drywall, hanging streamers, sanding the floor...
Mitch: This could also be good for Wiger's coffin going into the ground.

–one of the McDonald's jingles

The lady at Albertson's assured me that if we eat these, we won't actually turn into babies, which was a big question for me.
