Synopsis[]
Munch Madness 2017 progresses into the semifinals, as the Doughboys welcome back dear friend Armen Weitzman (Love, Another Period), who issues a clarifying statement regarding rumors of his alternate identity. Armen gets real with the 'boys, and the trio attempt to divine the best chain chicken in a matchup between McDonald's McNuggets and Popeyes. Plus, a tour of London snacks via Mitch's recent European adventure, in a new segment, Snackarchy in the UK.

the debunked 'McNuggets slime'
In 2010, a viral news item showed an industrial pump dispensing thick pink slime - allegedly the production process for McDonald's Chicken McNuggets.
While Snopes has debunked the connection, noting the chain stopped using this type of mechanically-separated chicken in favor of all-white meat in 2004, the allegations stuck, partially because the McNugget, a more processed derivative of popcorn chicken, is an engineered foodstuff far removed from the bone-in fried-chicken dish that was its forbearer.
Southern fried chicken came into being in 18th- and 19th-century America when the fat-fried cooking technique of Scottish immigrants intermingled with the seasoning skills of enslaved West Africans. In the 20th century, chains like KFC and Church's took the dish to the masses, but in Round One of this year's tournament, it was Louisiana-born Popeyes that prevailed as the fried-chicken representative.
So which poultry preparation method is supreme?
The heavily-processed nugget or much-closer-to-its-origins breaded, fried bird?
We'll find out as these two titans of fast food compete for the most prestigious trophy in chain-restaurant competition: the Dave Thomas Cup!

Chicken Fight Rules[]

Also The Commissioner calls in with some decisions about the Tournament. He decides that because they named the championship trophy the Dave Thomas Cup, this is a conflict of interest. Wendy's, having advanced to the next round, may continue to participate, but the Spicy Chicken Sandwich cannot be a part of the round.
Chicken Fight: Semisoft Finals 🐔[]
For this round of the Chicken Fight, the best chicken will be delivered by Adam Sandler to the Devil, in order to turn him into an angel so he can ascend from hell to heaven.

Mitch and Armen (and another couple) shared the Popeyes meal.
McDonald's wins, and advances to the Finals! However:
- Mitch played his Nintendo Switch Switch to switch things up and will allow McDonald's to use any burger along with the McNuggets in the Finals of the Chicken Fight competition.
- Nick in turn uses his Nintendo Switch Switch to switch Armen's vote, and so Popeyes incredibly moves on to the Finals! Mitch's Switch still applies, but in the Fat Chance Kitchen Finals.
Snackarchy in the UK 🇬🇧[]
Mitch, having recently visited London, went to a supermarket there and brought back a giant assortment of candy/snacks.
They rated them "chip chip" or "cheeri-NO".
They then voted their favourite of the snacks (dubbed 'The Queen').
