As per the news of the previous episode, Commissioner Susser has died and a Comclave is taking place in the Fatican City. Amelia joins live from outside the scene to discuss. The Whale stopped by to deliver a meatball sub before floating away. The Shartinels have gathered to vote on a new Commissioner. However, at the time of Amelia's reporting the Shartinels release steam that smells like shit out of their bathroom, which means a new Commissioner has NOT been selected at this time.
MMX Rules 📜[]
The rules are:
- There are no rules.
- There actually are some rules.
- Everyone is here! Every winner of every Tournament of Chompions will be represented.
- You gotta dance with the one that brought you: if a restaurant has multiple categories of food on its menu, only the category it qualified for, is eligible.
- One On Fun: every match-up is one on one, with each guest getting to pick one item from the competing chains. You cannot consider bites from other people's meals.
- Sauce is at a Loss: you can use sauce, but you cannot evaluate sauce in your review. (Roger Rabbit: No talk of the dip.)
- The Dais is Denied: Amelia, Emma, and Casey cannot be considered during the Tournament.
- Tie Goes to the Runner: if there is a tie, the guests can do a footrace around the Headgum studio to decide the winner. (Or they can let the Dais decide, which is the one time rule 7 can be broken.)
- Hate has no Plate Here: Chick-fil-A is officially banned from the Tournament. (It didn't qualify.) Starbucks too.
- I'll Have What He's Having: The Commissioner reserves the right to have one of the Doughboys' exact meal.
MMX: Punctuation/Slash Region[]
During this episode, the Doughboys had an Eat-in match-up between the winners of Mac Attack (McDonald's French Fries) and Dough Quiero Talk-O'-Bell (Taco Bell's Beefy 5-Layer Burrito). The Beefy 5-Layer Burrito won. They also include the Cheesy Gordita Crunch.
Also, the BOWL tournament of 2023 had Co-chompions, sweetgreen and Chipotle. However, the Doughboys claim this was a Mandela effect and Sweetfin was the actual Co-Chompion. However however, on the day of the record, Chipotle's app was not working, so they dq'ed it and ordered both Sweetfin and sweetgreen.
