"Tomorrow… with Toni Charline Ramos" - @doughboyspod
Synopsis[]
Toni Charline Ramos (@tonicharline) joins the 'boys to talk Christmas movies and Tacogate before reviewing the Goop 3 region of For Whom the Bell Doughs: Munch Madness 2024: The Tournament of Chompions IX: Dough Quiero Talk-O'-Bell!
Nick's intro[]

In 2005, the Mexican-American concept of the Yum! Brands fast-food triforce debuted their most successful new menu item of all time: the Crunchwrap Supreme. Quickly reigning supreme among the franchise’s wallet-stretching, but also bowel-stretching offerings, this panini-pressed hexagon of calories ushered in a new era of dare-food experimentation both from the chain itself and its Yum! stablemates, including KFC’s Double Down and Pizza Hut’s Cheeseburger crust pizza.
But its comparatively more stodgy, traditional items were also once the caliente new thing on the menu: the chain did not introduce nachos until the 1980s, and quesadillas didn’t go national until 2001. As for bowls? The less said the better. And as for Mexican pizzas? The more said!
So what drives the TB enthusiast: an approximation of authenticity or an embrace of excess? Mere appropriation or full-on abomination? Traditional kind of tortilla with stuff inside, or new, innovative kind of tortilla with stuff inside?
Who will advance to the semi-soft finals and ascend to fast-food immortality?
This week on Doughboys… the final Goop Stages of For Whom The Bell Doughs: Munch Madness 2024: The Tournament of Chompions IX: Dough Quiero Talk-o'-Bell: Specialties y Nachos/Quesadillas/Bowls!
Ring the bell!

Independent Counsel Kowalick
In the Taco Goop Region, some of the tacos listed on the Taco Bell menu under the Tacos category were not included for tasting. To resolve this controversy, Independent Counsel Matt Kowalick joins the episode. He reads a statement that during his investigation into how Commissioner Susser made this glaring omission, Susser is hereby suss-pended without snacks. In one week, the results of this investigation will be revealed.
But for this episode, The Doughboys must re-do the Taco group with the Chalupa Supreme, Cheesy Gordita Crunch, and Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch to face off against the two winners of the Taco Goop Region (Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco Supreme and Spicy Potato Soft Taco).
Kowalick also declares The Jen D'Angelo Sour Cream of the Crop Award of the Burrito/Sides & Sweets Goop Regions to Black Beans.
Dough Quiero Talk-O'-Bell rules 🔔📜[]

The rules of this year's Tournament, as decreed by Commissioner Susser:
- Everyone is here: this is a comprehensive tournament. Drinks are out of the stink, sides are off the sidelines.
- Spice up the night, not the morning: no breakfast items in this year's tournament.
- Is a Pepsi ok?: only drinks exclusive to Taco Bell will be considered, but Pepsi will be considered.
- Yum yum yum: there will be a Yum! Brands All-Star Category in the Tournament, including Pizza Hut, KFC, and The Habit.
- Don't veg out, veg in! (by any beans necessary): any meat or veggie protein is valid on any item.
- If it's seasonable, it's unreasonable: only using the February 2024 menu.
- The spice is not right: the Evan Saucer's Sauce Boss competition was unsanctioned and The Doughboys can use any sauce. However, listeners may only use the Sauce Queen, Hot Sauce Packet, on their own trips to Taco Bell.
- I have a cream: for each group stage, The Doughboys may, but don't have to, pick Jen D'Angelo's Sour Cream of the Crop Award for funniest plausible winner of a round.
- For the end of the list, a twist: Evan Susser can use three Commissioner Cinnamon Twists to increase excitement whenever he sees fit.
Dough Quiero Talk-O'-Bell: Goop Region: Tacos 2 🔔🌮[]
As per Counsel Kowalick's decree above, The Doughboys re-do the Taco Goop region from this episode because Commissioner Susser excluded some items.
They took the two tacos that won in Round 1 (Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco Supreme, Spicy Potato Soft Taco) and compare them against the Chalupa Supreme, Cheesy Gordita Crunch, and Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch.

Dough Quiero Talk-O'-Bell: Goop Region: Quesadillas/Nachos/Bowls 🔔🧀[]
In this Region, the items tried are Chips and Nacho Cheese Sauce, Loaded Beef Nachos, Nachos BellGrande, Power Menu Bowl, and a Quesadilla.

Thus, the two winning items for this Region are Quesadilla and Nachos BellGrande!
However, the Quesadilla is removed for the Cheesy Roll Up in the Specialties Region below. (Everyone prefers that to the Quesadilla.)
They also decide the Nachos BellGrande isn't as good as other group items, so they eliminate this entire region from moving forward.
They do however give the Jen D'Angelo Sour Cream of the Crop Award to the Power Menu Bowl.
Dough Quiero Talk-O'-Bell: Goop Region: Specialties 🔔❗[]
In this region, The Doughboys tried 3 Cheese Chicken Flatbread Melt, Cheesy Roll Up, Crunchwrap Supreme, Mexican Pizza, and a Stacker. They seem to have also had the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada, but as a limited-time offering, it is not eligible (and they didn't seem to love it).

They all decide that like the Cheesy Roll Up more than the Quesadilla which advanced out of the previous Goop stage. So to make room for more Specialties, they move the Cheesy Roll Up to that region and stop the Quesadilla advancing.
Thus from this round, the Crunchwrap Supreme and Mexican Pizza are the winners.
They also decide the Chalupa Supreme is better than most of these things, so it gets to advance too.
