Synopsis[]
The Sloppy Swabby Boys join the 'boys to discuss Mitch's surprise birthday party, sailing, and water skiing before continuing the Yarrrctdoughbarrrchest festivities with Grog-making and playing Drank or Plank.
Yo dough, yo dough, a pirate's bite for me!
Drank or Plank: Grog 🏴☠️☠️[]
For this episode of Yarrrdoughbarrrchest, the Doughboys and Sloppy Boys made and tried grog.
Mitch used this recipe, using Myers's Original Dark Rum, Santa Cruz Organic Pure Lime Juice, Domino Brown Sugar, and Poland Spring water. Jeff also used this recipe; he used Hamilton 86 Demerara Rum.
Tim and Mike both followed a recipe from The Thrillist, which uses Demerara Syrup instead of brown sugar, along with lime, rum, and water. Mike used a Mount Gay Rum, and Tim tried it with Coruba Dark Rum.
Nick made a non-alcoholic grog, which was just lime, honey, and Sparkletts water. For comparison purposes, he also tried a Lime Spindrift. Nick preferred the grog.
They rated their grogs on a scale of Drank or Plank.
They all seemed to really enjoy it. Mitch's mother also liked it!
