"Fat Chance Kitchen with Evan Susser" is Episode 1 of the premium-content podcast, Doughboys Double, hosted by Mike Mitchell and Nick Wiger. "Fat Chance Kitchen with Evan Susser" was released on March 6, 2017.
Synopsis[]
It's the premiere of Doughboys Double! Friend of the podcast and Tournament of Chompions Commissioner Evan Susser joins to judge the first match of the Munch Madness loser's bracket.
Fat Chance Kitchen intro[]
Each week the defeated combatants of the Tournament of Chompions compete to stay alive! The loser goes home for good. The winner stays alive for a chance to re-enter the competition.
This is Fat Chance Kitchen.
Fat Chance Kitchen Commissioner Announcement[]
For this Loser's Bracket of Chicken Fight, the Commissioner adjusted the rules from the main competition.
- In Fat Chance Kitchen, all elements of the meal can be considered. Sides are not remaining on the sideline, drinks are out on the field! Atmosphere is also in the clear. Everything is on the table! (Except politics, which cannot be considered.)
- Susser also claims that naming the trophy The Dave Thomas Cup is a conflict of interest since Wendy's is participating in the tournament. Future sanctions will be announced against Wendy's.
- Susser's participation in the Loser's Bracket is also apparently a conflict of interest, so Susser recuses himself and brings in Mike Carlson.
Fat Chance Kitchen: Round 1[]
The losing chains from the first two match-ups were Panda Express and Chick-fil-A.
Currently, both losers remain in purgatory, so they have to decide which of two is eliminated for good (i.e., gets sent to hell in a doggie bag and fed to Cerberus). The winner remains in purgatory for the next match-up.

Nick went to a Panda Express Innovation Kitchen, which has a different menu than a regular Panda Express. The Commissioner strikes this trip to the Innovation Kitchen from the record, eliminating Nick Wiger's vote from this episode. If there had been a tie, Susser would have been the deciding vote.
Mitch and Mike both decide to give Panda Express to Cerberus, so Chick-fil-A remains in purgatory to compete again in the next round.

Quotes[]
“ | I think just when anytime anyone is talking about a system of underground tunnels underneath a town that was used for some sort of nefarious or lecherous purpose, I'm always like 'Eh I don't know... that sounds like an urban legend.' | ” |
–Nick Wiger |
“ | Nick: I'm a big potion fan. I wish there were more stories of potions. I wish we saw that explored more in fiction. I do wish they existed in reality too. I would love it if there was a potion that transformed you into a creature. Mitch: I would like a potion that made you go away forever. |

“ | The Commissioner: I admire Nick Wiger's integrity, but I'm willing to allow Mike Mitchell's stance [of refusing to return to the loser restaurants]. Nick: I'm fine with it too, because otherwise I think Mitch might die this month. That would be really bad for the podcast. |
