Charities[]
The Doughathon raised money for two charities.
The Doughboys ended up raising over $184,000 in their time on air for the Restaurant Workers' Community Foundation.
If you would like to continue to donate, you can utilize this link.
For the second charity, The Doughboys were raising money for is The Alliance To Fatten Up Mitch's Hog.
“ | We’re gonna need a lot of money because this is a very expensive procedure and borderline experimental. | ” |
–Nick Wiger |
00:00 - 00:25[]
The Doughathon begins with Nick and Mitch chatting and getting everything started and everyone excited.
“ | Nick: We want the stream to be as annoying as possible. But we also want it to be entertaining, which is why we brought in a lot of our favorite guests to help us out. Mitch: It's gonna be a rocky road. We're gonna fuck up a bunch! It's gonna be good. |

00:25 - 02:07 Taco Bell 5 with Christine Nangle and Carl Tart[]
[Taco Bell 5 was released as a mainline podcast episode on May 27, 2021.
You can get the fork ratings and info about this section here. - ed.]
02:07 - 03:21 After Dough with Joe Episode 4 with Evan Susser[]
As Joe Saunders did after The Doughlympics, he hosted a post-episode show covering the events that just occurred.
Joe's Intro[]
“ | Welcome to After Dough with Joe. I’m the host, Joe Saunders. This is the official Doughboys aftershow. I’d like to welcome my special guest for today’s brand new episode, the Commissioner of the Doughboys, Evan Susser. | ” |
Saunders and Susser discuss the live episode with Nick and Mitch, with Saunders bringing the hard-hitting questions.
Mitch also writes two birthday cards (one funny, one sincere) for his mother. ("I'm a two-card kind of son. Mother gets two cards on her big day.") Nick has a suggestion for what Mitch should write on the card: "Ma, as I think back on my childhood, every memory I have that mattered, you were there. And as I think about my adulthood, the same thing is true. Thanks for being there with me."
Next they all watch the teaser trailer for The Tomorrow War! Mitch brings a couple of previously-unseen screenshots.
Mitch goes to prep the dough for his bar-pizza segment. Mrs. Mitchell makes a quick appearance and the four of them sing her "Happy Birthday."
Jason Mantzoukas texts the show for the first time: "Susser shouldn't get a mic! Get it together, Commissioner! Recall Susser!"
Nick Wiger roasts of Evan Susser's internet connection / camera quality |

“ | Fish is water meat. I was gonna say ‘sea meat’ but it also applies to rivers and lakes, the ocean, sea. It’s all valid. Any bodies of water the meat comes from. | ” |

03:21 - 04:08 GoPro with Don't Stop Or We'll Die[]
Mitch continues with his prep work for making bar pizzas, but now with a GoPro camera on his head to stream it from the kitchen.
At 03:30, Michael Cassady and Paul Rust join the chat. Silliness ensues.
Mitch walks around his house with the GoPro on his head, showing us Wolly and Irma, before actually making the bar-pizza dough.
After that, they take some questions about improv comedy ("Is this a harold?" Nick: "Life is a harold.")
Nick steps out to get dinner, while Mitch, Paul, and Michael do some impressions. Nick returns with salad in a pot (presumably quite hot).
They then all improvise an episode of Robot Chicken, mixing QAnon with Three's Company.
04:08 - 04:36 Pizza with Alana Johnston 🔪[]
After Don't Stop stops, Mitch gets back to his pizza dough, Nick continues to eat his hot salad, and Alana Johnston 🔪 joins in to cut everyone down.
She and Nick discuss their favorite pizza toppings.

04:36 - 05:29 Midnight Snack with Colt Cabana[]
The Doughboys chat for 10 minutes and then Mitch drives to McDonald's to get a midnight snack.
Nick posts a poll for the Twitch chat to decide which sandwich Mitch should get - a Big Mac, Double Cheeseburger, Filet-O-Fish, or Joe Biden. Mitch doesn't want it, but the Filet-O-Fish wins.
At the chat's insistence, Mitch does a Fry Count.

05:29 - 07:42 It Takes Two[]
After that, Emma Erdbrink joins and Nick takes a quick break. Jason Mantzoukas again texts in, bravely daring to take on Alana Johnston 🔪: "Recall The Knife!"
Mitch spends quite some time trying to set up his Playstation (Nick: "just an unending series of debacles"). Nick has a beer (a Golden Road Mango Cart).
At 05:50, Mitch steps away to get some water so Nick brings in The Drop King to chat for a bit. Mitch returns, but forgot his water. Jason Mantzoukas texts again: "Recall Mitch!"
At 06:08, the Doughboys resume It Takes Two, a game they've streamed together on Twitch prior to the Doughathon.
At 06:49, they pause so Nick can get ready for bed and Mitch checks his 267 text messages; they start the game again ten minutes later.
At 07:27, Mitch's friend Dano joins the stream and watches Nick repeatedly dominate Mitch at a tug-of-war segment of the game.
This part ends with Nick going to bed. Good night, Wigey!
07:42 - 08:50 The Mummy Commentary, Part 1[]
After Nick goes to bed, Mitch and Dano take over.
They watch The Mummy (1999), which was chosen because it was Mrs. Mitchell's birthday. Emma watches too, but jumps in and out of the stream.
At 08:11, Carl Tart returns, but he does not want to watch the movie.
08:50 - 10:59 Up All Night with Dano, Carl Tart, and Emma Erdbrink[]
At 08:50, Mitch decides he and Dano should pause The Mummy; only Dano seems to have been paying attention and they want to try to raise some donations.
“ | If we get to $250,000 before this is all done, I’ll sniff Wolly’s butthole. | ” |
–Mike Mitchell |
At 9:05, Mitch moves his camera upstairs so he can show the sunrise. While there, he does some more pizza prep. He then returns to the basement and they all continue chatting for a couple more hours.
“ | Exclamation donation. | ” |
–Carl Tart, repeatedly, entreating the audience to use the !donation Twitch command for info on donating |
10:59 - 12:09 The Mummy Commentary, Part 2[]
Carl calls it a night, so Mitch and Dano continue watching the last half of The Mummy.
“ | Is everyone in the chat hating this? | ” |
–Dano |
12:09 - 13:19 Sigourney Fever with Fuckston[]
After the movie, Mitch brings his childhood friend Justin "Fuckston" Kiley on. Dano leaves to drive down to Mitch's house, so Mitch and Justin chat and reminisce about, wait for it, Dave Mathews Band and making pizzas.
Right before Nick is scheduled to wake up, Justin puts on a wig.
At 13:07, Nick wakes up and returns to the Doughathon with a smooth ASMR voice and a Minions plate full of wheat toast.
Before leaving, at 13:12, Justin sings a great song he wrote on his guitar ("it's a love song for Sigourney Weaver").
13:19 - 14:33 Quincy Driving Tour with Dano[]
Nick next has to vamp for a bit as Mitch gets ready. Emma joins him.
At 13:32, Mitch begins streaming from the car (Dano is driving). They head to various spots around Quincy. The sound quality is iffy. Nick brings The Drop King back in, and also Doughscord mod Phish671 joins for the first time.

14:33 - 16:02 Coffee Talk with Nick Wiger[]
Wiger goes solo and takes it super chill while streaming the game Coffee Talk.
At 15:25, Mitch jumps on for 15 minutes as he returned home from the Quincy Tour, and to give Nick a quick break. He then goes to sleep, with the idea that Nick can jump in on the sleep-cam and watch him sleep from time to time.
Nick then resumes Coffee Talk.
“ | Coffee Talk is meant to be boring. It's a vibe to live in. | ” |
–Nick Wiger |
16:02 - 17:02 Halo with Jack Allison, Max Mayer, Matty Smith, and Joe Hartzler[]
Jack Allison (and his JackAM discord) had challenged the Doughboys Doughscord to a Halo match. It's a battle of two teams of eight, and Nick brings in a ringer (Max Mayer). On the stream, we could see Nick, Jack, and Max chatting over the gameplay. Matty Smith and Joe Hartzler were also playing, and eventually brought in to the chat too (all prior guests on Doughboys).
It seems the Doughscord lost pretty badly.
“ | Wow. I just got absolutely shithoused for an hour. Just beat like a taiko drum publicly. An absolute evisceration due to my absence of skills.
But you know what? I don't give a shit. Because we got a lot of people in here and we raised more funds for the Restaurant Workers' Community Foundation. |
” |
–Nick Wiger re: losing Halo |
17:02 - 18:07 Family Feud with Yusong Liu and Kevin Bartelt[]
Next, Nick brings in Yusong and Chef Kevin and then takes a quick break, so the two of them chat with Emma. Kevin is dressed like one of those inflatable wacky car wash man things.
“ | I would never allow this to happen. | ” |
–Yusong re: either the Mitch Sleep Cam or the Doughathon, not sure. |
At 17:17, Emma leaves, and Nick starts up the video-game version of Family Feud.
“ | I'm unreasonably upset. I'm fucking devastated. | ” |
–Nick Wiger re: losing Family Feud |
18:07 - 19:08 Basketball Cards with Dave Schilling, Amir Blumenfeld, Agata Monica, and Anastasia Vigo[]
As Nick has done on Twitch before, he next spends some time opening packs of 1990-1991 Skybox basketball cards. He brings on some of his basketball-fan friends to join him. They decide if each pack is a 'pack' or a 'wack.'
The high donation wins every card Nick opens!
(And if there's a Kurt Rambis card, Nick signs it himself.)
(Congrats Lauren N.)
19:08 - 19:37 Podcast Killed the Video Star with Mano Agapian and Oscar Montoya[]
Next up, Mano Agapian and Oscar Montoya join Nick.
They just chat, mainly about music videos, as that is what their podcast is about.
Mitch is still asleep.
19:37 - 22:14 Hanging Out[]
This is a long rolling segment which begins with Nick bringing on The Birthday Boys, Mitch's long-time sketch group (except Tim Kalpakis, who is out on a drive, and Matt Kowalick). Mitch was scheduled to wake up at this time, and The Birthday Boys were supposed to be a surprise when he arises, but he was still asleep when they got there.
So Nick chats with Jefferson Dutton, Dave Ferguson, Chris VanArtsdalen, and Mike Hanford for a bit, as they all watch Mitch on the Sleep Cam.
At 20:06, President John Adams finally shows up in Mitch's bedroom, ringing his bell, to wake Mitch up!
At basically this exact same moment, the charity donations cross the $125,000 mark! WOW.
Nick takes a break, so Mitch chats with The Birthday Boys for awhile, before eventually adding in Sean Clements to the stream. The testosterone is high! Clements and Ferguson schedule an arm-wrestling competition for May 1, 2031. They all then do a push-up competition to raise some money. Clements and Ferguson go head-to-head (Sean does 38, and Dave does 29; Sean donates $45). Dutton and VanArtsdalen go next (Chris did 30, Jeff 26). After all that, Mitch does 20 himself.
As 20:54, Nick evicts the last three Birthday Boys (Hanford had already left to play tennis). Clements and Nick talk while Mitch resumes making his bar pizza.
At 21:00, Nick brings David Sims in. He and Clements talk about movies while Nick zones out and Mitch is working in the kitchen. At 21:28, Clements begins to tell his famous RV story.
Also at 21:28, Carl Tart returns. He listens to Clements' story and then quickly shows the pizza he had made. It had too much sauce.
At 21:41, Tart, Sims, and Clements all leave, and the two Jasons (Mantzoukas and Concepcion) join in. Mitch is shredding the cheese for his pizza and drops some on the floor. The Jasons successfully drive the donations higher, via bullying and promises of feet pics. They even crash the donation website!
“ | If you can successfully peek on your mom, I will pay $100 for every peek. | ” |
–Jason Mantzoukas |
22:14 - 24:05 Taco Bell 6 with John Hodgman, Paul F. Tompkins, and Arden Myrin[]
[Taco Bell 6 was released as a mainline podcast episode on July 15, 2021.
You can get the fork ratings and info about it here. - ed.]
24:05 - 24:29 Denny's Corp with Mookie Blaiklock[]
Nick and Mitch chat with the whole team for a few minutes (ie., Emma, Drop King, Phish671) before Mitch calls Denny's.
About six months earlier, Nick had ordered a Denny's meal online for the show, but when he arrived at the Denny's, it was closed. He never bothered to get his money back for the order. Mitch has been prodding him about it ever since. They finally get around to handling it, by calling Denny's and talking to their helpline. They get pushed all the way up and actually talk to Denny himself!
“ | I'm glad we did this. | ” |
–Nick Wiger |
24:29 - end Drunkin Donuts Power Hour[]
As promised, The Doughboys tack on a bonus Power Hour at the end of the Doughathon.
Mitch was planning to alternate shots of beer and eating Dunkin Donuts Munchkins for an hour, while Nick was just going to eat the Munchkins. They don't really follow the 'every minute on the minute' very closely as they are very tired, reading out the donation names, and reminiscing about the Doughathon and some of their favorite moments. Raimondi calls in from a party with the Quincy crew and Mrs. Mitchell stops in for a quick hello.
Donations were kept open for another day or so, but at the end of the stream, the Doughboys had (heroically) raised $182,702.
WOW.
