Biggie Feedbag[]
“ | What is one modern fast-food practice or standard that will seem antiquated in fifty years? | ” |
–Adam Winand |
“ | Los Angeles seems to have access to a litany of chain food options, arguably more than anywhere in the world. Many listeners aren’t able to try these chains and feel left out. To make us all feel better, what is a chain that you would love to try, but just haven’t been able to due to geographic location? | ” |
–Joel Yeomans |
“ | As someone who likes to sleep in, and I know you guys like to invariably, how do you, Mitch, deal with the cats waking up early, if they do at all? | ” |
–Davis from Louisville |
“ | At this point I've listened to over 400 hours of Doughboys content, and I've learned a lot about Mitch and Wiger, and some about Yusong and Emma, though not nearly as much. Is there anything that y'all regret sharing with your audience? I can think of some real standouts (autofellating, hand-pooping), but are there some deeper cuts? | ” |
–Hunter Pendleton |
“ | We are one of the two places in the Bay Area that have space enough to put in a brand new strip mall recently. Upon visiting, I found that almost none of the places involved are actually places I want to go to. If you were getting a brand new strip mall next to where you live, what would be your dream lineup of restaurants? Keep in mind you'd have to have some sit-down joints, some drive-through joints, some walk-up joints. Would you have more than two burger places? Would you go more expensive like a Cheesecake Factory or keep it down low like an Applebee's. | ” |
–Robert from Alameda |
“ | Hi 'boys! What are your favorite springtime eats? I get really excited for food truck fare when it is finally warm enough to go outside again. | ” |
–Carly |
“ | I once had a friend go through the drive-thru at Taco Bell and order a burrito, but when he got home and took a bite of it, he realized it was literally just a tortilla filled with sour cream and nothing else - like the shape of a full burrito with nothing but sour cream inside of it. It seems insane that that kind of screw-up was even possible. Have you ever had an order messed up at a restaurant that seems so inconceivable that someone could screw it up that bad? | ” |
–Taylor from Dallas |
“ | I was wondering who came up with the name Doughboys and did they realize how big your podcast would get when you created the name? Go BurgerBrigade. | ” |
–John from Tulsa |

As per the last question in the Feedbag, Nick digs up the original email thread from 2015 in which he and Mitch discuss segment and title ideas for their new podcast. This is history!

Mitch said he "really loved Doughboys the best" and Nick replied "Doughboys is pretty fun. And it also the name of World War I soldiers. It gives another layer. Maybe wearing army helmets chowing down on the podcast art."
