"Tomorrow on the Double… with Evan Susser" - @doughboyspod
Synopsis[]
It's the return of the Doughlympics! Commissioner Evan Susser joins the 'boys for a ring-inspired competition and to decide who will take home the gold.
Statement from The Commissioner[]
“ | Hello and welcome to the 2020 Doughlympics.
As President of the DOC, I'm extremely proud that these Games are taking place, though they have not been without their challenges. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Games have been delayed over a full year, so they coincide with the real Olympics, which were also delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, the Games are occurring virtually this year, rather than in person, as was previously discussed, because of a combination of Game 6 of the NBA Finals, the Delta Variant, and Mitch's disgusting stomach virus. Finally, and most importantly, the lack of budget provided to me as President of the DOC has prohibited many of the most ambitious ideas for the Doughlympics from happening. That said, I have worked tirelessly with other members of the Doughlympics Organizing Committee to create a memorable Games, despite the fact that, again, the Doughboys have provided no budget for the Games, despite their highly-lucrative Patreon. Yet none of that should detract from the fact that this promises to be as exciting a Doughlympics as possible, under the extremely limited budget that has been granted by The Doughboys. Thank you. |
